Our scissors are designed, handcrafted, and manufactured in Japan.
Please fill out our service request form, where you will be able to generate a prepaid shipping label for you to send your scissors to our in-house sharpener to examine. Once the examination on what kind of service or sharpening your scissors needs is completed, we will contact you to let you know the timeline. In some cases, we will have to ship scissors for factory servicing in Japan, which will result in a longer service time.
Please visit our Dealer Request page to submit a query. Please note that submitting a form does not guarantee authorization of being a Tara distributor and all requests will be reviewed by our team. We will notify you of our decision within 14 days.
Yes, we are happy to make salon visits by appointment. We can visit salons within a 100-mile radius of our Newark, Delaware office (19711). Please use the Salon visit form to send a query with a preferred date and time of when you’d like someone from our team to visit and we will contact you to schedule based on availability.
If you are outside of our 100-mile radius, please contact us to see if we can send a designated authorized Tara dealer to your salon.
- If you are not satisfied with you scissor after using, customers are able to return scissors within 14 days of receiving the item for a full refund. Scissors can be gently used but not damaged.
- After the 14 day mark, customers are able to return scissors within 30 days from receiving, provided that it is unused and in its original packaging. Any returns within the 30-day range that are used are eligible for a refund but will be subjected to a 10% restocking fee.
- If you wish to return a pair of scissors after the 30-day window, please contact our team using the contact form to request authorization. We will review any query beyond the 30-day return window on a case-by-case basis.
- After 6 months, no returns or exchanges are permitted.
We stand by the quality of our products, so we are happy to offer a lifetime warranty on material defects, breakage, and workmanship.
Additionally, every Tara Scissor comes with 1 year of free service, unless the scissor has had accidental damage by the user or the scissor was serviced by an unauthorized sharpener.
